Who We Are

TiT History

In 1940 the Technology, War And Tactics (TWAT) division was set up by Winston Churchill to develop weapons to combat the Nazi War machine. With its initial development budget of £60,000,000 the new division successfully created the groundbreaking "Bomb-Bomb", a bomb that blows up other bombs; and the "Boomerang Bullet", which returns to the user if they miss. Sadly it was 1956 by then and TWAT had completely missed the war. The Division was restructured in 1976 and part-privatised in 1992. The boring bit that made no money was retained by the government and the part-privatised portion was sold off to its board in a lucrative management buyout and renamed Tactical Intelligence and Technology (TiT). We now carry on the great tradition of tangential thinking to take war to the war makers in ways they couldn't even imagine.

Who are we?

We are lots of people. We have a staff of over 3,000 people, mainly based in our high-security Skarsdale research headquarters at the former Swazborough airbase in Hertfordshire. TiT's key personnel are:

COMMANDER KEVIN CHEEKS - Chief of Staff

COMMANDER KEVIN CHEEKS

Heading up Tactical Intelligence and Technology since its enlargement in 2001, Commander Cheeks has been a TiT man for most of his career. A child prodigy, Cheeks' genius was spotted early by his parents when he constructed a fully functioning pump-action lego crossbow. At his sister's funeral the same year, he resolved to devote his life to conflict resolution. In his Who's Who entry, Cheeks lists among his dislikes 'criminality, parmesan and the Isle of Wight'.

GENERAL BARRY G KLEPPER - Head of Operational Operations Procedures Structures and Information

GENERAL BARRY G KLEPPER

TIT employs some of the greatest tactical minds in the country. As supreme overlord of TiT, General Klepper is a twice decorated veteran of both Gulf Wars. In 1999 he developed the Klepper Gambit; a fiendish strategy for counter intelligence. He theorised that if a terrorist cell thought you knew that they knew that you thought that they thought that there was a deterrent then they would know that you would know that they would think that you would think there's no threat. Therefore, the General concluded, it would be possible to cut all spending on anti terrorist activity - or at least to make them think you had. 21st Century military intelligence operate in a post-Klepperian world that was developed around precisely this kind of tangental thinking. General Barry G Klepper is 48.

But who are we?

That is a top secret. Why do you want to know?

TiT "to supply Japanese military" with new clothing after success of camouflage demonstration to Emperor Akihito, Commander Kevin Cheeks announces.
